The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and stable provision of the website). Log files are stored for 30 days and then deleted; they are not merged with other data sources. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hoster; processing takes place in data centres in Germany.
For simple reach measurement, a server-side counting pixel is loaded when a page is accessed. It records the page visited, the referrer, the browser type, the country of origin derived from the IP address, and a short, non-reversible hash of the IP address that changes daily. The IP address itself is not stored, and no data is transmitted to third parties; the country is determined exclusively locally on the server using a country database stored there (IP geolocation by DB-IP, licensed under CC BY 4.0). No cookies are set and no profiles are created. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in privacy-preserving reach statistics). Entries are deleted after 90 days.
Links in our business correspondence may contain an identifier that attributes a page visit to the organisation we contacted. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in measuring the effectiveness of our own business outreach); no further personal profiles are created.
When you contact us by email, your details will be stored for the purpose of processing the request and in case of follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (initiation/performance of a contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding). We will not share this information without your consent; it is deleted once it is no longer required and no statutory retention obligations apply.
